Here’s the rub: You’d expect this thing to be uniformly better than the UltraPixel shooter HTC’s been pushing, but that’s just not always the case. In bright, consistent light, the M9 fires off detailed photos with nicely reproduced colors - they can be a little washed out compared to the M8, though, and the cooler screen on the M9 doesn’t help them look any better. But we strongly suggest waiting until Samsung’s Galaxy S6 - which boasts a similarly luscious metal and glass design - is available for testing, so we can let you know how these rivals stack up against one another.
HTC ONE M9 REVIEW POCKETNOW ANDROID
If you’re an Android user who’s looking for a beautiful, well-built and easy to use phone then the One M9 is worth your consideration. The M9 really does look and feel like an extremely luxurious device. With the M9, HTC hasn’t done much to change that design and while some will argue that that makes it less exciting, I’m personally glad HTC hasn’t made its phone any less stunning.

HTC’s flagship One M8 was one of our favourite phones of last year, thanks chiefly to its gorgeous, metal design. Hoyle points out that, while the M9 is certainly well-designed and nice to look at, Samsung has caught up this year with its all metal and glass Galaxy S6 flagship. In his review, CNET writer Andrew Hoyle addresses concern that HTC perhaps took a year off in innovating in favor of fine-tuning. The issue HTC faces this year, however, is whether or not it can keep innovating at the same rate. It’s no secret that HTC has had its fair share of struggles over the past few years, but since the launch of the One M7 two years ago, the company has slowly been gaining momentum. This evening, reviews for the HTC One M9 have officially started popping up around the web and they give us a much more in-depth look at what the company has to offer as we head into 2015…

The device was met with a seemingly ‘meh’ reaction at the time, with HTC fans complaining that the device was too similar to its predecessor and worrying about the use of the over-heating Snapdragon 810. The phone only comes with 16GB of internal story though there is a microSD expansion slot available.HTC revealed its 2015 smartphone flagship, the One M9, at Mobile World Congress earlier this month. Android Authority describes its performance as, "smooth as butter." Battery life is equally as impressive with the 2,600mAh battery providing critics with 16 hours of moderate usage. No matter how many apps they had running, experts did not notice any issues with lags or stutters even when they played processor heavy games. It comes with a 2.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.

For those looking to control their TV from their phone, the One E8 also did away with the IR blaster.īesides these changes, the One E8 features almost the same specs as the One M8. Instead it comes with a 13MP rear camera that, according to Tech Radar, takes, "pretty good…without being sensational," images.

The E8 does not come with the duo camera. The plastic back isn't the only change, however. Due to its plastic chassis, reviewers note that while it feels natural to hold, it is fairly slippery and prone to accidental drops. Take off the metal body of the HTC One M8, replace it with polycarbonate and you've got the HTC One E8.
